Starter Planks
In each pack you'll get 5 fixed length boards. You'll also get 2 starter planks measuring a minimum of 400mm in length. We include these to help you start laying your floor and ensure you keep a consistent staggered pattern throughout.
Rustic
Rustic graded wood is by far the most popular grade. It has a lovely natural look, thanks to the knots, grains and colour variation in the oak. Any open knots will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.
We want you to feel confident when you buy your flooring from us, so if anything goes wrong, we'll do our best to make it right. Whether you need a speedy replacement or there's something else we can help with, our friendly customer support team are on hand to assist.
Plus, this floor comes with an amazing guarantee, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that with a little TLC, it'll look at home in your home for years to come. Find out more about your cover below.
Elgin Branches Oak 190 x 20/6mm has a total thickness of 20mm with a 6mm solid hardtop wear layer. This product comes in fixed lengths of 1900mm and is pre finished with a UV oil which gives the flooring ultra strong protection from damage as well as a stunning finish.
Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more definition individually. This floor can be sanded down up to 7 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years, especially with our 25 year guarantee, which means you can rest assured your floor will look incredible for years to come. The grade of this product is rustic, the most popular choice in the industry, which gives the floor a sense of character and warmth.
The EO2021 can be installed using one of two techniques. Option one would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Option two would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab above for more information.
Engineered flooring doesn't just look stunning, it is also extremely practical as well. Not only is it hard wearing, making it perfect for using in kitchens, it is also able to endure changes in temperatures. This means that engineered wood is better at expanding and contracting safely so not to damage the material. Because of this the Elgin Branches Oak can be used with underfloor heating, an important factor to consider as most new builds come preinstalled with underfloor heating.
