What is wastage?
When working out how much flooring to buy, it's important to add on a bit extra. This is because each room is unique in its size and shape and often you'll have to cut several boards to accommodate this. This extra allowance is known as 'wastage'.

Rustic planks contain knots, imperfections and colour variation found in natural wood. Any open knots and imperfections will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.
Prime wood contains minimal colour variation and knots, making it the ultimate choice for a clean, uniform finish.

Description
Have you been looking for a contemporary, neutral coloured wood floor? Well, your search is over. Say hello to the Painswick Otter Engineered Oak.
Engineered wood is known for striking the balance between practicality and beauty, and this flooring is no exception.
Each plank of the Painswick Otter features a base of greige (greyish beige) and a pattern of softly smudged grains that occurs naturally in oak. In addition, the surface of the wood has been ‘brushed’ to enhance its texture and give you that authentic wood floor feeling underfoot.
Topped with a thick veneer of real oak and finished with a protective lacquer, this gorgeous floor can be sanded and refinished several times throughout its lifespan, ensuring it lasts for years. What’s more, engineered wood pairs perfectly with underfloor heating, so you can give those freezing feet the cold shoulder!
Each plank of the Painswick Otter features a handy tongue & groove joining system, making it a breeze to install yourself. Whether you choose to glue your floor down or nail it in place, you’ll have it fitted in no time.
