Starter Planks
In each pack you'll get 5 fixed length boards. You'll also get 2 starter planks measuring a minimum of 400mm in length. We include these to help you start laying your floor and ensure you keep a consistent staggered pattern throughout.
Rustic
Rustic graded wood is by far the most popular grade. It has a lovely natural look, thanks to the knots, grains and colour variation in the oak. Any open knots will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.
We want you to feel confident when you buy your flooring from us, so if anything goes wrong, we'll do our best to make it right. Whether you need a speedy replacement or there's something else we can help with, our friendly customer support team are on hand to assist.
Plus, this floor comes with an amazing guarantee, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that with a little TLC, it'll look at home in your home for years to come. Find out more about your cover below.
Elgin Latte Oak 190 x 20/6mm European Oak Flooring – product code EO5018 - is a fantastic product that is finished with a protective invisible oil that allows the natural shades of the oak to stand out. Visually this floor has the appearance of an unfinished product, however an oil covers the product to provide a softer feel underfoot and higher protection from damage. When oil is applied to a product it seeps into the grains of the wood and strengthens the product providing a longevity to the life of the floor.
This product is classed as ABC grade as it has a fairly consistent unfinished colour and some natural knots, which bring large amounts of character to your home. You are able to sand down this product around 5 or 6 times as it has a 6mm wear layer, however it should not need sanding for the first 15-20 years depending on the amount of foot traffic. The tongue and groove joining method makes installation quick and easy and allows a variety of installation methods to be used, depending on your subfloor.
Engineered flooring doesn't just look amazing, it is also extremely practical too. Thanks to the way it is constructed, engineered flooring is very strong, making it great to use in kitchens and rooms with higher traffic, where general wear and tear is fairly common. Engineered flooring is also able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures which means its compatible with underfloor heating, something that is increasingly popular in modern homes. This ability to endure temperature changes also means that this product can be laid in rooms such as conservatories or basements, where other flooring could damage itself. The latest technology has been used to create the invisible oiled finish of this product, so make sure you order your free sample today!
