Studley Goose Engineered Oak

Studley Goose Oak 190 x 14/3mm Wood Flooring has a total thickness of 14mm with a 3mm solid hardtop wear layer. This product comes in a fixed length of 1860mm. This product is unfinished allowing the end user to finish it to how they desire. Over recent years self finishing has become more popular as there are many different oils and lacquers on market, which offer more precision to meet all individual needs.

Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more definition individually. This floor can be sanded down up to 4 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic, the most popular grade in the wood flooring industry, meaning the planks have more knots and imperfections that help to create a stronger character and warmth to the floor.

Unlike solid wood flooring, engineered wood flooring is able to endure higher levels of moisture exposure. It is also very hardwearing, making it perfect for use in kitchens. It is also able to be used with underfloor heating as it is able to withstand exposure to different temperatures without damaging. Because of this you can enjoy engineered flooring in rooms such as conservatories and basements.

The Studley Goose can be installed using one of two techniques. Option one would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Option two would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive.
