Rustic
Rustic graded wood is by far the most popular grade. It has a lovely natural look, thanks to the knots, grains and colour variation in the oak. Any open knots will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.
We want you to feel confident when you buy your flooring from us, so if anything goes wrong, we'll do our best to make it right. Whether you need a speedy replacement or there's something else we can help with, our friendly customer support team are on hand to assist.
Plus, this floor comes with an amazing guarantee, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that with a little TLC it'll look at home in your home for years to come. Find out more about your cover below.
The Brimham Forest Oak is a stunning classic medium oak solid wood flooring product, which has been elegantly finished with multiple layers of UV pearl satin lacquer protecting the natural oak surface from day-to-day use. However, as this is a natural product, we would always advise you to mop up any spillages or splashes as quickly as possible.
This natural product will showcase some knots and imperfections as the grading of this product is rustic. This is by far the most popular wood flooring grade simply because knots are one of the main attractions when purchasing solid wood. All our solid oak timber is sourced from local European countries as this allows us to offer consistency and continuity on all our products, so if you require more material later on down the line, you can rest assured the same quality will be provided. As we source the highest quality timber this allows us to offer a 25 year manufacturers guarantee on all our solid and engineered flooring products.
The plank width of this lacquered flooring product is 125mm (12.5cm) wide which is deemed as a standard width in solid wood flooring, making it ideal for both large and small rooms. The total plank thickness is 18mm (18cm) making it possible for you to sand and refinish the product approximately seven times. Once you have sanded down the top layer you would then need to apply a few more coats of pearl satin lacquer to achieve the previous finish.
The joining system on this lacquered oak flooring is tongue and groove giving you a few different installation options such as; a floating floor where you simply glue the tongue and groove and then allow the floor to float, secret nail, where you nail through the tongue into a wooden subfloor or fully stick the flooring to the subfloor using an adhesive. Whichever option you decide on we would always recommend you make sure the subfloor is level prior to installation.
Luxury Flooring is also your one stop shop for all the matching accessories such as beading, door profiles, underlays, adhesives, maintenance products and many more enabling you to complete your dream flooring with us.
