Description

Studley Sunflower Oak 125 x 14/3mm has a total thickness of 14mm with a 3mm hardtop wear layer. This product comes in random lengths between 300-1200mm. This product is lightly brushed and finished with a pearl satin uv lacquer which gives the plank more texture and character.

Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more definition individually. This floor can be sanded down up to 3 times, however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic meaning the planks have more knots and imperfections giving the product much more character and warmth. The rustic grade is the most popular grade in the wood flooring industry.

The Studley Sunflower can be installed using one of two techniques. Option one would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Option Two would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Engineered wood flooring looks incredible but it is also incredibly practical too. Engineered wood flooring is made from layers of plywood stuck together before being finished with a layer of lamella. This means engineered wood flooring can have many more applications in comparison to a solid wood for example. Engineered wood floor can therefore be used with underfloor heating and is also suitable for using in conservatories and even basements.

Excellent and traditional

Really good looking wood and easy to lay even for DIYers like myself. The planks are narrower than most laminate floors which gives this a real authentic and traditional finish. The shade is a nice warm colour and is peaceful for a lounge. Customer service was very good; the staff I liaised with were accommodating of our needs and held our order for a few weeks before delivering it on time. I have been really pleased with our experience shopping here and would definitely do so again for future home flooring projects.

Lovely flooring

I researched flooring extensively and ordered hundreds of free samples from several companies before settling on this. It looks amazing, the different lengths make the room feel larger and its so easy to clean. It has been down for a year now and has held up very well to two children, two cats and a dog. There is only 1 visible scratch and one tiny dent (but only I can see them!). It's good knowing we can sand it down in the future if needs be. When we ordered the cost was reduced after the black Friday sale so the company refunded me the difference. They also refunded us for returned unused packs of flooring. I recommend this to anyone wanting gorgeous floor that's lovely to walk on!
