This classic mid to light oak lacquered product is amongst the most popular engineered options available here at Luxury Flooring and in our option it’s easy to see why.

Elgin Royale Oak 190 x 20/6mm has a plank width of 190mm. Although this width is considered fairly wide, 190mm floorboards are extremely popular in the UK has they tend to suit the average sized room (20-30m²). Our Elgin Royale is a fixed length product. The fixed lengths in this instance are 1900mm (190cm) long.

Our 190mm Pearl Satin Lacquered Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring 20/6mm Thick is elegantly prefinished with 7 layers of pearl satin lacquer that make it easy to maintain and incredibly durable. A lacquered finish will offer a smooth, glossy finish that makes it the ideal finish for contemporary properties.

This product has a total thickness of 20mm. 14mm of this total thickness is made up of multi ply backing that increases the stability of the product. The remaining 6mm is solid European oak sourced from Germany. A wear layer of 6mm is considered extremely hardwearing. You have the option to sand down and refinish this product up to 7 times in total but we don’t believe this will be necessary for the first 10 years at least. If you do decide to sand down this product, you would be required to refinish it with more lacquer or another finish of your choice. All our engineered products are compatible with under floor heating, both water and electrical based systems.

Here at Luxury Flooring, all our oak is sourced from a sustainable European forestry ensuring the best quality timber whilst safeguarding the future supply and most importantly, the environment.

The grading of this engineered oak product is rustic meaning there will be some knots and natural imperfections on the surface of the planks, as you would expect with any natural wood product.

Unlike solid oak products, engineered floors are relatively easy to lay. We recommend using secret nailing as your method of installation when it comes to this floor.

Best quality engineered wood floor. Beautiful but samples not always representative. Fast delivery if you need the flooring ASAP.

We were under time pressure to choose our new flooring, we got samples from lots of different suppliers, from both high street well known places and online shops also. It was between this company and one other company from the samples we liked best. My husband bashed all the samples with other (unwanted) samples and the Luxury flooring samples did not dent or scratch (unlike many other samples, particularly unlaquered ones), so were much better quality as well as being beautiful. The sample I loved must have been a slightly darker example of this style as in person the flooring as a whole was a lot lighter than the sample, check you like the average colour on the online photos and use the sample to check you like the quality. There were some pieces with uglier black filled in areas, so remove those ones or tell your builder where to place those to hide under furniture. Checks with your builder the installation costs of the style you are looking at as we wanted herringbone but the installation was too much so we had to reorder large straight samples instead. Overall very pleased with my new flooring, its beautiful and the lacquer gives it an expensive looking sheen as well as protecting it against scratches and day to day use. Delivery was very quick so no delays due to that unlike other companies. Thanks

We had been shopping around for a while and out of all the samples we had received this one stood out the most. It seems a really good quality wood. We havent had it installed yet but our order has arrived and all in good condition and as expected.
