Starter Planks
In each pack you'll get 5 fixed length boards. You'll also get 2 starter planks measuring a minimum of 400mm in length. We include these to help you start laying your floor and ensure you keep a consistent staggered pattern throughout.
Rustic
Rustic graded wood is by far the most popular grade. It has a lovely natural look, thanks to the knots, grains and colour variation in the oak. Any open knots will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.

Engineered wood flooring has many applications thanks to the way in which it is made. Layers of plywood are stuck together and then finished with a layer of lamella to create an engineered wood floor. Because of this, the product is extremely versatile and is able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures. This means it can therefore be used with underfloor heating and can also be installed in rooms such as kitchens, conservatories and basements.
The Elgin Beach Oak can be installed using one of two techniques. Option one would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Option two would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab above for more information.
